WHAT IS TOO LONG TO WAIT?

So I'm at work and this man is talking about how much he loves his girlfriend. I ask well how long have you guys been together? He says 6 years and 1 month.  I say well when are you going to marry her? He's like, well I'm not ready.  I'm like well you're going to lose her.  He says no I'm not, she's gonna be right here.  This is my thing, why do people feel they're not ready after YEARS! That is a long time to know someone.  Now I can agree that sometimes you think you know someone, but you really don't.  But c'mon now, be realistic.  If you know this isn't the person for you and you have no intentions on marrying them, then let that person move on.  There is no time frame to put on how long you wait, but if y'all never talk about marriage and you've been together for about 5 years then something is wrong.  This is just my opinion, but I think couples should move in together with the intentions of being married.  Not just to say ohhhh we're trying to save money. Another thing, why do individuals think just because they aren't marrying some that another person won't come sweep their significant other off their feet? It's possible and can be done.  I just have known for someone people to show their significant other what he or she has been missing. That surely did the trick.  But hey this is my opinion, but I would love to read yours!

Jennifer Hudson appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday where she spoke about her weight loss success and how she’d gotten her entire family involved and in shape.

The slender singer, who has previously refused to confirm exactly how many pounds she’s lost, admitted to losing at least 80lbs! She even revealed one of her work-out secrets… basketball!

J-Hud also broke her silence regarding the 2008 murders of her mother, brother, and nephew. In the emotional segment, Jennifer touched on how she got back on her feet in the wake of her family tragedy.

“I try to do everything to say, ‘OK, will my mother like this? Will she be pleased? Will she be proud of that? How do I know she’s happy and she’s smiling down at me from heaven?’” said the tearful songstress. “And that’s what I try to go by and walk by.”

The 29-year-old Grammy winner detailed how she could hear the voice of her mother and brother telling her to “knock it off” and snap out of her funk. Jennifer managed to get through the interview, although she did shed a few tears and admits it’s still a difficult time for her.

“It’s such a shocking thing,” she said. “It’s a lot to take in. It’s like, ‘OK, is this real? Did this really happen?’ It’s hard to put it in sync with reality.”

So, it seems that Diddy loosened the buckle and let Dawn venture out on her solo project...

Dawn Richard has premiered another song from her ‘A Prelude To #ATELLTALEHEART’ project. ‘Broken Record’ will be available along with the rest of the mixtape on February 7th. Listen to the track below:

Once again Dawn has delivered an impressive track. Vocally and melodically the song was solid on all fronts with the except of the spoken segments in the chorus which were unpleasantly reminiscent of Danity Kane’s ‘Bad Girl (Ft. Missy Elliott)’.

It seems that the material from this mixtape is more consistent that the collection of noisy beats that was Diddy-Dirty Money’s ‘Last Train To Paris’ LP. All the more reason why Dawn should focus on building a solo career instead of stifling her talents in that group.

Ciara and 50 Cent got into a battle of words via the social networking site, Twitter recently.

The pair, who were once rumored to be an item, although they were rarely seen together, are apparently following each other very closely on twitter.

50cent visited the Playboy Mansion over the weekend and hit up his twitter to brag online about his “pimp’n.”

He even wrote about gathering a few “hoes” on twitter.

That apparently struck a chord with his “ex” Ciara, who promptly struck back with a few subliminal messages. The two lovebirds exchanged pleasantries for quite some time,

Monica's FREAK ACCIDENT in the club!

Monica is recovering after a freak accident that occurred a few days ago during The Game’s Mixtape release party in L.A.

In case you haven’t heard, Monica and her hubby, Shannon Brown were partying the night away when a slippery fingered bartender dropped a bottle on Monica’s foot.  She suffered a nasty cut and tweeted this pic::

 

Monica, being the positive person that we all LOVE, still found the way to continue on after this gruesome accident.

JAY Z's CLOSING the popular CLUB 40/40?!

Shawn “Jay Z” Carter, 41, was in town recently dining at Atlanta’s popular Busy Bee soul food restaurant with Mayor Kasim Reed and Young Jeezy.

Apparently, Atlanta is on the list of cities being considered by Jay Z for his franchise 40/40 sports bars, so he took a moment to meet with Mayor Kasim Reed to discuss the venture.
According to AJC’s The Buzz, The website for Jay’s New York-based 40/40 Club lists Atlanta, as well as Chicago, Dallas & Las Vegas as potential expansion sites.

“Delaware North Companies, a global leader in hospitality and food service, has entered into an agreement with Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club that will bring the exclusive sports bar concept to select airports across the United States.”
The  concept would “give travelers access to the elite, modern sports bar to watch the game of their choice in an opulent lounge setting, all without leaving the airport,” it reads.

Tichina Arnold is got a new television gig with The Nanny!

Starring alonside Fran Drescher, Arnold landed a new role a comedy based on Drescher's life titled Happily Divorced. The award-winning actress who we all loved and adored as Pam from hit series Martin, will play the best friend to Drescher's character who is re-entering the dating world after discovering her ex-husband was gay.

Fans can expect Arnold to be her naturally hilarious self with a role like this. It should be interesting to see what type of chemistry these two funny ladies bring to television sets.
She recently ended a run on Broadway starring in Love, Loss and What I Wore.

After a long hard road, consisting of pregnacy troubles, miscarriages, and many other unfortunate mishaps while trying to convieve, Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon are FINALLY pregnant, with a healthy pair of twins....

In late April or early May the Cannon family will be expecting their bundles of joy-- a girl and a boy. (What a Blessing) ♥

“Even before we announced it was twins, I was trying to keep everything genderneutral because I didn’t want to impose an identity on them too soon,” Mariah Carey tells Life & Style.
“There were fan contests on Twitter about what gender they are and rumors about them being two boys or two girls—but nobody guessed this!”

This has been interesting, and very speculated ride, for the parents-to-be. One little comedian and one little pop diva are coming right up!
