Christina discusses her feelings about her DIVORCE in Latina Mag!

Adding to the list of February 2011 magazines hitting newsstands on 1.11.11, is the latest issue of Latina magazine featuring the beautiful Christina Milian. The singer/actress graces the cover wearing a strapless cocktail dress which boasts a variety of colors, prints and patterns, accented with a statement necklace, ring and multiple bracelets. Though Milian talks about loosing the pregnancy weight in her article, one can clearly see that she is back in shape and ready to take on the world. “I feel brand new. I’ve been to hell and back, but I survived. I’m stronger for it and now I’m ready for the next phase of my life,” she says.

Here's an EXCLUSIVE snippet of her interview::

On her failed marriage: “No matter what, you can’t change who you are. I know that now. I tried to be someone I wasn’t because I wanted my marriage to work. But ultimately, if it’s not working, it’s not working.”

On the cheating scandal: “I didn’t know anything. But looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it.”

On lessons learned: “I learned a lot about myself this year. I learned what I can handle. I learned how much I can take. I learned who I am and what I will accept for myself and my daughter.”

On becoming a mom: “Being a new mother definitely makes me feel so much sexier than ever before. There’s a certain responsibility that I carry being a mom that makes me feel very confident and so blessed. Being a mom is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.”

On what’s next: “I feel brand new. I’ve been to hell and back, but I survived. I’m stronger for it and now I’m ready for the next phase of my life.”

 From the looks of these pictures that were taken YESTERDAY (1/4/11) outside of the NY studios, where they taped an appearance on ‘Late Show with David Letterman, I can SAFELY say that Hoops & Shaq ARE BACK TOGETHER!

 

Is lying the ONLY way to end a relationship?!

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you were dating someone and for whatever reason you or the the other person lost interest and then "poof" they were gone? Sometimes with no explanation?

Sometimes they LIE to get out of the relationship, but WHY?!

Is it because they want to spare the other person's feelings, or is it because they just don't know how to end it and are avoiding conflict or confrontation at all costs? Why can't people be more mature and honest with each other during a breakup?

I would think that if two people could be honest about why they weren't compatible would be a stepping stone to the next learning experience. I think, trying to take away something positive in your relationships might help you to be SUCCESSFUL in the next one.

Vivica Fox ENGAGED?!

Just last month, in an interview on the Wendy Williams show, the 47 year old actress, Vivica Fox admitted to wanting to have a baby in the very near future with her 27 year old, club promoter boyfriend, Omar "Slim" White.
WELL, the news just broke that the two may, indeed be ENGAGED now! Reports are saying that they had been staying at the Ritz Carlton on South Beach over the holidays & on the day after Christmas is when he POPPED THE QUESTION!!

The (2) have been dating a little over a year & if everything goes accordingly, this will be Vivica's 2nd marriage.

Man found INNOCENT after serving 30 YEARS in prison!!!!

DALLAS – A Texas man had his conviction overturned Tuesday for a rape & robbery [he DIDN'T commit] after serving 30 YEARS in prison, more time than any other inmate subsequently exonerated by DNA evidence in his state.

Cornelius Dupree Jr., 51, was formally cleared of the aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon conviction that had kept him behind bars from December 1979 until July of 2010. He served 30 years of his 75-year sentence before making parole in July. About a week later, DNA RESULTS came back proving his innocence.

"It's a joy to be free again," Dupree said after the ruling in a Dallas courtroom.

Dupree is the longest-serving inmate cleared by DNA EVIDENCE in Texas, which has freed 41 wrongly convicted inmates through DNA since 2001 — more than any other state.

I, personally think that this is horrific to have an INNOCENT person behind bars for a crime that they did NOT commit, for such an long period of time. "Time' is the one thing that can not be given back and to have this man spend 30 YEARS of his life in prison, away from his family and friends, and w/o any real connection to the outside world is without a doubt WRONG. Begging this person's pardon is simply NOT enough. An apology should be the least of the many things this man is given upon his release. There should be some extreme INCENTIVES that come along with being released from prison and the persons responsible for making such a mistake should be PUNISHED to the extreme also (a slap on the rist is just unacceptable)!

The terrible thing about the whole situation (as odd as it may sound) He is one of the LUCKY ones. There are many people who are serving time for a crime they did not commit & there are only rare occasions where innocent people are proven as such. SMH

IT'S A NEW YEAR! WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

The new year has begun and everyone has their New Year's resolution.  But are you going to keep these resolutions or it's just something to say that sounds good.  I didn't have any new resolutions. I want to get closer to GOD, become more humble, work on my attitude, stop letting little things bother me, and ge healthier.  Now I already started this in the later part of the year.  So I'm just trying to get better with my goals.  My overall goal is to become a better person and I'm not going to wait until the 1st of the year to work on this.  But nothing is wrong if you want a New Year's resolution.  I just want you to stick with it.     

SHOULD THERE BE A LIMIT ON TEXTING?

It seems everyone knows how to text, from the little kids to the elderly! Texting is the new form of communication for a lot of people.  But my question is, is there a such thing as too much texting? My answer is HELL YES!  Lately, every new man that I've met wants to text.  At that very first conversation, I let it be known.  I DO NOT TEXT THE 1ST TIME I TALK TO SOMEONE!  I feel texting is very informal, especially for a man that is trying to pursue a woman.  Now I'm not saying you can't ever text me, because sometimes I do just like to text.  But our very 1st encounter shouldn't be on a text message.  How can we make a connect over text messaging? Sometimes texting can be taken the wrong way.  You may think it was said one way, but in reality it wasn't. I'm a victim of reading too much into things.  So I would prefer the old fashioned way, telephone.  One of my friends says he's very indirect, non confrontational, and doesn't like to talk on the phone. Ok, if you say so sir. LMAO!  But hey, this is just my opinion. But I would like to get others opinion on the subject, especially men.
